Apartment Manager Accused of Stealing Tenant's Pills, Complaint Says

James Kobach, 59, faces up to 45 years in prison if convicted of six counts of burglary.

A Brookfield apartment manager is accused of entering several apartments on River Birch Drive in 2012 to steal prescription medication from the tenants in the building.

James Kobach, 59, was charged on Aug. 22 in Waukesha County Circuit Court with six counts of burglary. If convicted, he faces up to 45 years in prison and $150,000 in fines.

One resident lost more than 200 oxycodone pills while living in the apartment complex, according to the criminal complaint.
