On March 6, Schmitt was a passenger in a car in the 1000 block of South 22nd Street when it was pulled over by a Milwaukee police officer, who noticed a syringe and a "burn cup" in the passenger side door. The car was searched and police found heroin, a cap gun, a crack cocaine pipe and an open can of beer.
