Pedestrian Yells at Fast Driver, Gets Charged With Drug Possession

A woman accused a man of spitting on her car during a traffic dispute that ended in drug charges.

A pedestrian who got upset with a driver's speed is facing charges after police allegedly found marijuana in his pocket shortly after the altercation.

Jason D. Kuban, 35, of Brookfield, was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Friday with one count of possession of THC, the active ingredient in marijuana. If convicted, he faces up to six months in jail and $1,000 in fines.

Kuban was walking west on Hackberry Lane near Moorland Road about 2 p.m. June 28 when vehicle drove toward him and stopped suddenly as he entered the middle of the road. Kuban began to yell at the female driver, flip her off and spit on her car, the woman told police.

She said Kuban appeared to lift up his shirt and act as if to lower his pants, so she drove around him and called police.

When officers arrived they were unable to find Kuban, but the woman saw him walking out of . Kuban told police that he had yelled at the woman because she was driving too fast for the area, but he denied spitting on her car.

Officers searched him and found a baggie of marijuana in his pocket.

He will make his first court appearance Aug. 20.Β
