At 2:10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, a Waukesha County sheriff’s deputy was on patrol in an industrial area when he spotted a suspicious car parked at Golner Precision Products, N56W24600 Corporate Circle. The deputy approached the car and found a bin inside with metal shavings and shavings all over the outside of the tunk.

The deputy called for another officer to come and search the area and when the second officer showed up, Collazo took off running towards a wooded area. The car was registered to her name and officers tried to contact her via phone, but eventually Collazo returned, saying it was too cold and she couldn’t wait any longer.

Collazo said the car belonged to her, but she lost the keys while fleeing from the area. Collazo said she was recently laid off and ran out of unemployment and Christmas was coming, so she needed to make some money.

She’s currently free on a $750 signature bond while awaiting trial.
