Caller Harasses Business Over Teacher Protests

Man makes repeated calls to local public relations firm for teachers unions to complain about teacher protests.

A national public relations firm for teachers unions said a man called about 20 times to complain about teachers protests in Madison.

An employee of United Education Profession, 13805 W. Burleigh Road, called police on Friday to say the firm was being harassed by a male caller believed to be in his 40s who said his wife was a teacher.

The employee said the man called repeatedly and called female office workers "bitches," according to a police report. The man traveling to Madison to protest.Β

His phone number was blocked. Police told the business, which provides advertising, lobbying and public relations for teachers unions, to contact its telephone provider for assistance.

When staff told the man they were contacting police, he stopped calling, they said.Β
