Driver Runs a Light in Front of Cop After Drinking at Wedding Bash

Milwaukee man is booked in his tuxedo after turning through a red arrow while a marked squad is idling at the same light.

At 10:57 p.m. July 6, a 24-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, first offense, after he ran a red light right in front of a Brookfield patrol officer.

The officer, in a fully marked squad car, was stopped at the light on North Calhoun Road at West Capitol Driver when the driver of a tan Cadillac pulled up in the left turn lane, with the left arrow red.

The Caddy ran the light, and then kept running, driving through parking lots with the officer using lights and siren behind before he finally got him to stop.

The driver was wearing a tuxedo and said he was coming from a wedding celebration at The Loft and Chapel in Waukesha.

He failed sobriety tests, blew a .14 blood alcohol concentration and came away with a wedding memory he won't soon forget and hopefully will regret.
