Drunken Driver Crashes Pickup Into House

A man drives pickup into a Clairmont Drive house and was arrested after staying at the scene.

A suspected drunken driver struck a Clairmont Drive house Sunday afternoon, backed out of the driveway and parked across the street, where he was arrested,Β  Brookfield police say.

The 64-year-old man registered a 0.18 blood-alcohol level and was arrested for second-offense drunken driving, according to police reports.

Officers were called to the house in the 15100 block of Clairmont about 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Two neighbors told police a black pickup truck struck the house and attached garage.

Garage siding was damaged and the garage door was pushed in, leaving a large gap between the door and the garage, reports said.
