Hoarding Issues Leads to Attack in Brookfield Home

Suspect attacks sister when she tries to clean out her basement after issues arise over hoarding and living conditions.

A Brookfield woman allegedly attacked her sister who was trying to clean her house, a criminal complaint says.

Sandra J. Williams, 53, was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Thursday with one count of disorderly conduct domestic abuse. If convicted, she faces up to 90 days in jail and $1,000 in fines.

On Feb. 18, the victim went to Williams’ home in the 300 block of Bobolink Drive after the family rented a Dumpster to remove items from the home. Williams has issues with hoarding and it had become very difficult for her elderly parents to live at the residence, the complaint alleges.

When the sister began to clean the basement, Williams became very angry and began hitting her sister and another person with a broomstick.

 She will make her first court appearance May 7.
