"Hug Me, I'm Radioactive"

A road rage dispute ends with a driver scaring off another motorist by saying she was "radioactive."

A road rage incident in Brookfield took a strange twist when one driver started chasing the other on foot, yelling "Hug me! I'm radioactive."

A 45-year-old Mukwonago woman had pulled into the Elmbrook Memorial Hospital parking lot to visit its nuclear medicine unit Friday morning, police reports say.

But on her way to the hospital, she got into a dispute with another motorist, an 80-year-old Brookfield man.

According to Brookfield police reports:

Both drivers accused the other of cutting them off along North Avenue. The Brookfield man told police he saw the Mukwonago woman drive through four stop signs.

The woman said the man followed her into the hospital parking lot and got out of his car, yelling at her.Β 

She said she was intimidated and scared so she began chasing him around his car, yelling repeatedly, "Hug me, I'm radioactive."

The man said he quickly got back in his car and drove away.

Officers warned the woman not to intimidate others with comments about radioactivity.
