Man Allegedly Uses Company Credit Card for Personal Purchases Days After Getting Hired
Suspect tells police he paid his cell phone bill and used the card to buy his bipolar disorder medication.
A 35-year-old Milwaukee man is facing charges after he allegedly made fraudulent purchases with a Brookfield company’s credit card just days after he was hired as a new employee.
David B. Golombowski was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Wednesday with one count of theft. If convicted, he faces up to nine months in prison and $10,000 in fines.

On July 23, Golombowski was hired to maintain vehicles at S&K Pump, 20880 Enterprise Drive and two days into the job he asked to use the company credit card to buy tools. A manager agreed, but soon discovered Golombowski used the card to pay a $108 cell phone bill, made a second purchase of $422, then tried to buy video games Online, but was declined.
Golombowski was immediately fired by S&K.

He admitted to the purchases to Brookfield police, telling them he wrote down the card number and used it to pay his cell phone bill and purchase medication. He said he is bipolar and just separated from his wife and is no longer able to buy his medication with her insurance.
He will make his initial appearance in court Sept. 10.
