Hamelin rear-ended a vehicle near Burleigh Road and Fiebrantz Drive and kept driving without stopping after the incident. The driver of the vehicle didn’t lose sight of Hamelin’s vehicle and contacted police who found Hamelin's car shortly thereafter.
The hood of Hamelin’s vehicle was crumpled and Hamelin appeared dazed as he told police officers he was “just a little bit” intoxicated.
