When police arrived at the residence in the 600 block of South Calhoun Road about 10:30 p.m. Friday, officers saw Hoskins leaving at a high rate of speed.

When they stopped his vehicle, Hoskins said he had been at the house, but he had a difficult time speaking and smelled of intoxicants. He was asked to perform a field sobriety test but was only able to walk in a “duck-like fashion.” He pretended to blow into a Breathalyzer to determine his blood-alcohol level.
