A man told police he panicked and fled after his car struck another vehicle on eastbound I-94 in Brookfield, according to charges filed Thursday.

The woman whose car was struck got Bauer's vehicle license plate number and called 911, the complaint said. A Wisconsin State Patrol officer later talked to Bauer who said he was on his way home from work when the incident occurred and “panicked” when he hit the other car.
The complaint said Bauer’s driving privileges were revoked at the time of the incident.
