At 5:27 a.m. Saturday, a Town of Brookfield police officer was at a stop light at East Moreland Boulevard and West Blue Mound Road when he saw Lonski’s car approach the red light at more than 40 miles per hour and smash into an SUV trying to turn left onto Blue Mound Road.
Lonski and a passenger in the car were hitting a second passenger who was unconscious, trying to wake him up. The police officer told Lonski to stay in the car until rescue personnel could assess the men's injuries, but Lonski and one of the passengers got out and became uncooperative with the officer until they had to be “tactically decentralized” by a Waukesha County sheriff’s deputy.
