Man Charged in Cocaine Sale to Brookfield Police Officer

Suspect sold drugs to a police officer and a police informant at Brookfield Square, charges allege.

A Milwaukee man is facing multiple charges after he allegedly was caught selling cocaine to an undercover Brookfield police officer.

Enrique Arias, 37, was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Nov. 18 with one count of conspiracy to manufacture and deliver cocaine and two counts of bail jumping. If convicted, he faces up to 26 ½ years in prison and $120,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint:

Arias and another man sold $1,250 worth of cocaine to a police informant and an undercover Brookfield police officer in the parking lot of Brookfield Square mall Aug. 4. Arias and the other man agreed to sell the officer and informant more drugs at a cheaper price in the future.

After being arrested, the man who was with Arias told police he agreed to drive Arias to the deal in exchange for $20 in gas, which he purchased after the deal took place.

Arias remains out of custody and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
