Man Says He Sold $40K of Cocaine to Pay Credit Card Debt

One man denied being a drug dealer after being busted selling a kilo of cocaine to undercover Brookfield officers, charges allege.

Two Milwaukee men are facing felony drug charges after they allegedly were caught selling one kilo of cocaine to undercover Brookfield police officers as part of a plan for one of the men to pay off his high credit card bills.

Jose R. Fuentes Zazueta, 19, and Frank Garcia Zasueta, 25, were charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Thursday with manufacturing and delivering more than 40 grams of cocaine, maintaining a drug trafficking place and conspiracy to commit the manufacturing and delivery of cocaine. If convicted, Garcia Zasueta faces up to 43 ½ years in prison and Fuentes Zazueta faces up to 40 years in prison.

On Sept. 21, undercover police set up a deal with Garcia Zasueta to purchase three kilos of cocaine for $114,000. The deal, however, fell through after Garcia Zasueta told the officers he could not deliver the drugs because a buyer in Chicago took an entire 10-kilo shipment he was expecting from Mexico.

Garcia Zasueta then agreed to sell the officers one kilo for $40,000. He and Fuentes Zazueta flew to Arizona and met men who gave them a 2002 Ford Focus to drive back to Wisconsin with the cocaine concealed behind the car’s instrument panel.

On Tuesday, Garcia Zasueta delivered the drugs to the officer while Fuentes Zazueta was positioned in another area to look for police. Both men were immediately arrested after the deal took place.

Garcia Zasueta told officers he isn’t a drug dealer, but has high credit card payments and decided to do the deal after some friends told him about the potential buyer and how to get the cocaine. He said they purchased the cocaine in Arizona for $34,000 and he planned to make $6,000 off the deal to pay towards his debt.

Both men were currently being held in the Waukesha County Jail on $100,000 cash bail.
