Man Steals Steaks and Red Bull for BBQ
The suspect told police he stole them because he thought his credit card was maxed out.
A Milwaukee man tried to steal $300 worth of Red Bull and steaks from a Brookfield Pick βn Save to have food for a barbeque, a criminal charge alleges.
Antonio L. Patton, 41, was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Friday with one misdemeanor count of retail theft. If convicted, he faces up to nine months in county jail and $10,000 in fines.

At 9:41 p.m. Thursday, Brookfield police officers were called to Pick βn Save, after a store security official spotted Patton take $300 worth of steak and Red Bull, and then try to leave the store without paying.
Patton told officers he had a Visa card he thought was maxed out, so he decided to steal the items to have something to eat and drink at a barbecue he was attending the next day.

Store officials said they also suspected Patton in a May 2 theft of $200 worth of Red Bull, liquor and charcoal briquettes stolen from the store.
Patton is free on $200 bond while awaiting trial.
