Police Report: Resident Calls His Stolen iPhone

Latest police calls include a Domino's Pizza dispute, thefts and coyote-car crash.

Remember the Seinfeld episode when Jerry calls the phone in his stolen car and the thief answers the call? 

In Brookfield on Sunday, when a condo resident discovered his iPhone had been stolen from his car parked in an underground garage, he did what Jerry would do: he called the phone.

"A male answered and hung up," the police report says.

Officers were investigating the phone records, and the resident put up a sign at his Birch River Drive condo complex asking for the phone to be returned, if someone took it.

Car vs. coyote: A driver called police to say his vehicle had struck a coyote near North Calhoun Road and West Burleigh Road shortly before midnight Sunday. There was minimal damage to the car.

Sluggo's tavern check: Officers on patrol found the owners of  still on site at 4:49 a.m. Sunday and advised them they had to leave, reports say. A police captain says they were not consuming or serving alcohol, which would have resulted in a citation.

Drunken driving dispute: The lobby clerk at the  called police twice between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. Sunday when a 25-year-old woman and her family were causing a disturbance in a hotel room and later, in the lobby. The relatives were trying to stop the woman, who was intoxicated, from leaving and driving drunk.  Hotel security had to put the woman on the ground. Police arrested her and issued her a citation for municipal disorderly conduct.

Suspicious phone call: A woman told police she was awakened from a deep sleep at 3 a.m. Sunday by a caller who identified himself as a Brookfield police officer and was warning residents there was an intoxicated person in the neighborhood. Officers patrolled the area in the 14000 block of Ridgewood Road but found nothing unusual.

No Domino's Pizza for you: A man who owns , Oconomowoc and Hartland told Brookfield police on Saturday that a woman has been making harassing phone calls to employees at his restaurants. The report said the woman keeps "demanding free food or (she) is going to make up stories about the restaurants and report them to the media." The calls were traced to a Brookfield resident on Alta Louise Parkway who the owner said has been added to Domino's "no service list." 

Purse stolen: A Cedarburg woman said her purse was stolen while she was shopping at , 12575 W. Capitol Drive, about 3:45 p.m. Saturday. The purse was found but about $25 and various cards were missing.

"You have won $1 million": An Anders Lane resident told police a company called J.M. Kingston kept calling and pressuring him to send $500 through Western Union so he could then receive a $1 million award he had won. The man said the calls keep coming even though he told them to stop. Police attempted to reach the company and recommended the resident ask the telephone company to block the number from his line.

Underage drinking party investigation: Police received a tip of a possible underage drinking party under way Friday night in the 700 block of Kenman Road. The homeowner told officers he was hosting a birthday party for his 16-year-old son and supervising the youth but didn't want to "infringe on their space." He said he did not know if any underage drinking was occurring but would check everyone before they left to make sure there was no intoxicated driving. He would not allow police inside to check the welfare of the youth, some of whom were leaving as officers arrived.
