Mac Attack? Reckless Driver Simply Eating a Sandwich

Late in the evening, when the drunks are often out, a concerned citizen calls in a driver who's 'all over the road.' But it turns out he just had his hands full.

Brookfield and other area police report that they are getting more concerned citizen calls about suspected drunken drivers and making more arrests based on having all those extra eyes on the roads.

Of course, it isn't only the intoxicated drivers who can be dangerous.

At 10:47 p.m. Sunday, a 53-year-old resident was cited for driving left of center after a caller reported him “all over the road” and a possible drunken driver.

A patrol officer hurried to the scene and, sure enough, saw the suspect weaving all over the road.

He proved, though, to be stone sober. He admitted he’d been driving with his knees while eating a McDonald’s sandwich with both hands.
