Updated: Armed Standoff Ends in Arrest in Elm Grove

A man in his 30s was barricaded in his home with a knife, according to WISN 12 News.

Updated 10:00 p.m. Police in Elm Grove arrested a man following a standoff in which the man brandished a knife and hunkered down in his apartment.

WISN 12 News reported that a man in his 30s was causing problems at his parents' Brookfield home, then drew a large police, fire and tactical unit response to his apartment just south of the intersection of Elm Grove and Bluemound roads. Elm Grove road was closed off about 5 p.m.

Finally, about 6:30 p.m., the man attempted to flee through a window and was quickly arrested, according to WISN.
