Road Rage Drivers Throw Pennies, Bottles

In separate cases, drivers allegedly threw items at another vehicle during a road rage incident.

Apparently, flipping someone "the bird" is out and flipping objects out the window is in.

In separate road rage complaints called in to Brookfield police last week, drivers were accused of throwing pennies or bottles and containers at other vehicles.

A truck driver called police about 8 a.m. Nov. 7 to say the male driver of a black Lexus RX350 threw handfuls of pennies out his window at his truck, chipping his windshield and body paint.

The truck driver said he was traveling west on Capitol Drive when the other driver threw pennies and then stopped at a light at 128th Street and got out of his Lexus, trying to start a fight with the truck driver. The two separated ways on Capitol and the truck driver called police.

Officers said the Lexus owner refused to answer the door or telephone at his Brookfield home and the investigation was continuing.
