Sentencing Postponed for Suspect in Hit-and-Run of Police Officer

Christine Druecke will be sentenced Jan. 5 for the December 2009 crash involving Brookfield police officer Paul Dilger.

A Brookfield woman's sentencing in connection with a 2009 hit-and-run of Brookfield police officer Paul Dilger has been postponed to Jan. 5.

Christine Druecke, 53, pleaded guilty Sept. 22 to felony hit-and-run causing injury and had been scheduled to be sentenced Thursday by Waukesha County Circuit Judge Kathryn Foster.

But defense attorney David Geraghty sought a new date, citing a conflict with another trial.

Dilger, 53, has been disabled from his job after suffering multiple serious injuries in the Dec. 11, 2009, hit and run.
