Man Stabbed in Likely Drug Dispute

A West Allis man suffered a small stab wound while tussling with a Town of Brookfield man, likely in a dispute about oxycodone drugs.

While wrestling with a Town of Brookfield man over drugs, a West Allis man was stabbed in the arm with a pocket knife, police say.

"We don't know if he was stabbed or if he accidentally stabbed himself," Brookfield Police Capt. Jim Adlam said. "We're still looking into it."

A woman called police at 12:48 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of North Corporate Drive. She said two men were wrestling on the ground before one fled in a car. The other told her he had been stabbed and showed her a knife, police reports say.

Officers were still considering whether to charge both men with municipal citations for disorderly conduct or refer them to the Waukesha County District Attorney's office for more serious charges. The two men may have been arguing about drugs including oxycodone, police said.
