Subway Restaurant Robbed at Gunpoint

Brookfield police responded to an armed robbery in which a Subway employee was ordered into a cooler while the suspect fled.

City police were searching for a suspect who robbed a Subway restaurant at gunpoint and ordered the sole employee into a cooler before fleeing.

According to police reports:

Police were called to the Subway restaurant at 21250 W. Capitol Dr. near Pewaukee at 7:55 p.m. Saturday.Β

An employee β€” a 26-year-old Pewaukee man β€” told officers a man confronted him about 7:45 p.m., displaying a handgun tucked into his waistband.

The suspect told the employee, "You are getting (expletive) robbed," according to police reports.

He demanded and obtained money, ordered the employee to put his cell phone on the table, go into the freezer and not come out until he counted to 100. The employee complied with all the demands and after about three minutes in the freezer, came out and called 911.

The suspect was described as a white male, age 18 to 25, about 5'5" to 5'8" tall, 140 to 160 pounds and clean shaven. He was last seen wearing an olive green hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black "skate boarder" style shoes with large sunglasses.
