Subway Shop Robbed at Gunpoint

Police searching for two suspects who fled the restaurant at Capitol Drive and Brookfield Road Monday morning.

Brookfield police are searching for two armed robbers who at 6:30 a.m. Monday held up the Subway restaurant at Capitol Drive and Brookfield Road.

Police were called to the Subway next to the gas station at 6:32 a.m.

Two black males came in, showed a weapon and told the uniformed employee to go in the back of the restaurant. The employee laid on the floor and was not physically injured before the two suspects fled out the back with about $700 in cash.

The males were described as being about 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, with slim build and wearing all black, including black hoods and bandanas. Both had black handguns.

Brookfield police called neighboring communities for backup and were continuing to search for the suspects.
