This Little Piggy Ran Through Brookfield Traffic

On April Fool's Day, a pig got loose and was spotted running through traffic on Lilly Road.

A police report in Brookfield read like an April Fool’s joke, but a spokesman confirmed it was a real thing.

At 2:16 p.m. April 1, a caller notified police that a pot-bellied pig was running loose in and out of traffic in the 2600 block of Lilly Road. The police log noted that the person who reported the emancipated swine had contacted its owner, who said he would corral the pig and bring it home.

Capt. Jim Adlam of the Brookfield Police Department confirmed the pig belongs to someone living in that area. He said the pig also got out a second time, again in traffic, and that the humane society responded to pick it up.
