At 1:20 a.m. March 17, Gutknecht was pulled over on I-94 westbound near South Moorland Road after he was caught speeding by a Waukesha County sheriff’s deputy. The deputy immediately noticed Gutknecht was under the influence of either alcohol or drugs, but he refused to perform field sobriety tests, saying he only wanted to take a Breathalyzer test.

However, the deputy spotted a marijuana pipe inside Gutknecht’s pants pocket.

Gutknecht was then placed under arrest and the deputy searched his car where he found two baggies of marijuana and an 18 inch machete.
