ARREST: Two Caught in Grafton With Marijuana

Nathan C. McWhorter of Saukville and his dealer, Marcus A. Hill, 17, of Grafton, face charges after being caught in a park after hours.

A 21-year-old Saukville man is facing charges after he and his Grafton drug dealer were caught in a park after hours.

Nathan C. McWhorter, of Saukville, and Marcus A. Hill, 17, of Grafton, were charged in Ozaukee County Circuit Court on Tuesday with four combined drug counts. If convicted, MCWhorter faces up to seven months in prison while Hill faces up to 3-½ years in prison.

According to the criminal complaint:

On Monday, a Grafton police officer on patrol near Veterans Park spotted the two men sitting in a car in the park. The officer went to inform them the park was closed and, while speaking to them, noticed the smell of intoxicants coming from their breath and a marijuana smell from inside the car.

The officer then searched the car and found a backpack that belonged to McWhorter with a bong, pipe, scale, rolling papers and baggie of high grade marijuana inside. Another backpack was in the car, which belonged to Hill and contained more marijuana and paraphernalia.

Hill told the officer he sells the drugs to friends in the Grafton area.

McWhorter is currently free on $150 bail and Hill is free on $1,000 bail.

Oh I see, then we can give tickets to minors for underage smoking reefer. Then we can give tickets for driving while being stoned. Sure, why not tax it, because seems like the only people that would benefit from it is government. Its not like they already are. Then of course, they will have tax increase. Should it be packed like cigarettes, have it sold in cartons, or in pouch and they could roll their own?. Would it come with warnings that it could lead into other addictive drugs? Or people are stupid and lace it with hallucinogen drugs that is far more dangerous? Alot to think about. Oh by the way, I am undecided on the logic of making mariuana legal.

I think you make the point in your post. All the questions you ask, apply equally to the other two, comparable, legal drugs. Alcohol and Tobacco. To me, it is less the logic of making it legal that confronts me, and more the question of why we treat it so differently from alcohol and tobacco.

I don't know the answer to the brilliant question you are asking. But I do know that possibly 85 percent or less in the world's population has and have smoked marijuana at one time or another. But Marijuana back before the 90's were not as strong or potent as it is now. I know they banned ( some states) synthetic marijuana. Which has many many names. K-2, Turbo, Powder, and etc. So which brings back the point. If we legalize marijuana, then what should we do with cocaine, herion, crack, PSP, and whatever else that is out there that I failed to name. Could that be the reason why we are treating it differently? Again, I don't know the true reason of why, but i can understand the hesitant.

Except those other drugs are not comparable. Even Synthetic marijuana effects the body completely differently (it really isn't anywhere close to marijuana, despite what it is called). Part of the problem is that we have lumped marijuana in with those other drugs, when it really isn't comparable. Again, the closest comparable drugs are alcohol and tobacco, period. And in all honesty, both of them are actually worse. The science is there to make the distinction, so legalization is possible without opening up everything else
