The trooper spotted Stephan driving nearly 100 miles per hour Sunday on I-94 near Calhoun Road. By the time he was able to clock Stephan’s speed, it registered at 95 miles per hour.

The officer followed Stephan, who slowed down to about 75mph in a 55mph speed zone. Stephan was also weaving within his lane, the trooper said.

After pulling him over, Stephan told the trooper his name is Jeremy and that Jessie was his brother and he was just trying to get home from work. However, he was unable to give an address and Social Security number for the person he claimed to be.

Stephan failed a field sobriety test and had a blood alcohol level of 0.114, charges allege. He was convicted of OWI in 2009.
