An Oconomowoc woman has been charged with a misdemeanor after she accidentally left her loaded gun in an Elmbrook Church bathroom.
Susan S. Hitchler, 66, is scheduled for her initial appearance in Waukesha County Circuit Court on Monday, May 5, at 8:15 a.m.
WISN 12 News is reporting the gun did not have a safety on it when it was found in the bathroom – a bathroom that was accessible to children when the gun was found. However, a misdemeanor charge, if Hitchler is convicted, will not prevent her from owning a gun, according to WISN 12 News.
