On Aug. 8, the owner of Alpha Industries Inc. called Brookfield police after he discovered Conklin had been stealing money from the company while employed there. He said Conklin had stolen $3,830 in debit transactions, written $4,339 in forged checks to herself and collected $1,260 in extra wages from inflated timesheets.

When the owner first found evidence Conklin had been stealing he gave her a chance to repay the theft and she gave him $200, the complaint alleges. However, once he discovered the magnitude of the theft he decided to contact police.

Conklin later confessed to the theft, the complaint says.

Conklin also was charged with possession of a narcotic drug and drug paraphernalia for an Aug. 4 incident, when she got into an argument with her boyfriend at his Waukesha home. He called police, telling officers she was on drugs.

Police found Conklin outside a residence in the 800 block of Niagra Street, and she had $320 worth of heroin in her car, the complaint alleges.

Conklin will make her first court appearance Oct. 22.
