Charges allege the driver accused police of planting drugs on her and pulling her over because she is disabled. Police said she tried to kick out the squad car windows.

A West Allis woman is facing multiple charges after she was pulled over by Brookfield police officers driving drunk with Ecstasy pills in her car.

Sherri L. Miller, 57, was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Tuesday with one count of possession of narcotic drugs and one count of third offense operating while intoxicated.

On Sunday, Brookfield police tried to pull Miller over after she made a left turn onto westbound Blue Mound Road from Thomas Lane without using her turn signal. Miller continued to drive until she reached a hotel parking lot where she sped up, but stopped after her SUV hit a curb.

When asked if she had been drinking, Miller said, “I just don’t know.” She pulled out a handicapped placard and told the officer the only reason she was stopped was because of her disabilities.

Miller refused to take a field sobriety test and the officer removed her from the SUV after she tried to put it in gear and drive away.

While searching the vehicle, officers found Ecstasy pills in a plastic bag, which Miller accused officers of “planting” on her.

She continued to be uncooperative with officers, nurses and jail staff while being arrested by screaming and yelling obscenities and kicking the back cage and windows of a squad car while being taken to the hospital for a blood test.

Miller was convicted of OWI in 1999 and 2009. She was released on $1,000 cash bail while awaiting trial.
