Masseuse Steals Wedding Ring, Tries to Sell it Back for $1K

Man hires masseuse from Craigslist ad but tells her to leave his Brookfield hotel room after she offers sexual favors; he later finds his wedding ring stolen.

After a masseuse stole a wedding ring from a customer who she tried to sell it back to him for $1,000, only to be nabbed by Brookfield police, charges allege.

Priscilla M. Vaughn, 27, was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Wednesday with one count of misdemeanor theft. If convicted, she faces up to nine months in prison and $10,000 in fines.

A 33-year-old man hired Vaughn for a massage from an ad she had posted on Craigslist. He arranged for her to come to his room at the on Sept. 28. During the massage, she twice asked him about performing sexual behaviors, but he declined and asked her to leave.

Before leaving, Vaughn asked to use the bathroom which he let her do, but after she left the victim noticed his wedding ring was gone.

Vaughn later agreed to sell the ring back to him for $1,000 and scheduled a meeting at Brookfield Square mall. When she showed up at the meeting, illegally parking in the parking lot, police conducted a traffic stop and arrested her.

The wedding ring was never recovered.
