Anti-Obama Policy Bus Tour To Stop In Southeastern Wisconsin

Obama’s Failing Agenda Bus Tour, organized by Americans For Prosperity, will make a stop in Caledonia on Saturday for its only stop in southeastern Wisconsin.

The tour kicks off today and will be a multi-state tour that includes 250 stops. Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), Fox News Contributor and Editor-in-Chief of the Daily Caller Tucker Carlson, and radio host Tony Katz will be the featured speakers in Wisconsin.

The tour seeks “to educate Americans on the most harmful aspects of President Obama’s big-government agenda, and help put grassroots pressure on politicians to turn away from these destructive policies,” according to a press release.

Officials with Americans For Prosperity (AFP) have billed the event as an issue advocacy effort Americans for Prosperity. However, they aren’t advocating for the success or defeat of any candidate for public office.

Luke Hilgemann, state director for AFP said Obama’s policies don’t make sense for middle class Americans.

“We’ve had 43 straight months of unemployment above 8 percent and $16 trillion dollar debt,” Hilgemann said. “His public policies are failing and we are doing our best to educate people on those policies. They are not the shining stars they were thought to be.”

Hilgemann said the tour will introduce AFP’s Jobs Agenda and attendees will be asked to sign a petition to tell Obama that the country needs a new direction.

“We’re focusing on the issues,” Hilgemann said. “And we’re choosing not to get involved with the candidates because the issues are more important than their campaign. We want to get back to the policies that made America great, and continue to push for economic freedom.”

The tour includes three buses traveling to Oshkosh, Stevens Point, Madison, Janesville, Racine, and conclude in Green Bay at the Packers game.

The stop in Caledonia is set for 6 p.m. Saturday at Gorney Park, 8201 Nicholson Rd.
