Bird Day: City Celebrates All Things Feathered

Brookfield, one of now 50 designated Bird Cities in Wisconsin, held its second annual International Migratory Bird Day Celebration.

The hosted its second annual International Migratory Bird Day celebration Saturday at the Nature Center at .

The event is part of the City’s designation as one of the first Bird City Wisconsin municipalities in the state.

Girl Scout Troop 2377, Wild Birds Unlimited, Greg Wolfe (director of the Nature Center), and John Winters (birdhouse craftsman) participated in the event. Attending on behalf of the City were Mayor Ponto, Patti Schimmel and Laurie O’Shea.
