Brookfield 2012 Primary Election Guide

With the election season under way, this is what every Brookfield resident needs to know about voting in the Aug. 14 primary.

We want to make sure you've got all the information you need before hitting the voting booth on Aug. 14. See below for information on the upcoming election and a breakdown of every contested race, with links to individual candidate profiles.

Election Info

  • Sample Ballot: To see a sample ballot, go to the state's Voter Public Access website and enter your address.
  • Polling locations: Your specific polling location can be found on the Voter Public Access site. Or you can visit the city's elections website for a list of all polling places in Brookfield.
  • Early Voting: You can cast an absentee ballot in person at between now and 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10. You can also vote by mail. Visit the city's elections website for more information on early voting.

    13th State Assembly District

  • Rob Hutton (R)
  • Thomas Schellinger (R)
  • Nate Ristow (R)
  • John Pokrandt (D)
  • 14th State Assembly District

  • Dale Kooyenga (R)
  • Chris Rockwood (D)
  • Both candidates are uncontested.

    Waukesha County District Attorney

  • Brad Schimel (R)
  • This race is uncontested.
