Vukmir Advisor Matt Adamczyk Running for Redrawn State Assembly Seat

Senior advisor for state Sen. Leah Vukmir is running in 13th District, which has new boundary lines because of redistricting.

Matt Adamczyk, senior advisor for state Sen. Leah Vukmir and a local business manager, is running to represent the redrawn 13th District state Assembly.

The district now includes parts of Elm Grove, Brookfield, Wauwatosa and West Allis and is currently represented by Democrat David Cullen, who has held the office since 1990. Adamczyk said Cullen's residence falls outside the new boundaries. Cullen was to the Milwaukee County Board on April 3, representing the 15th District.

Adamczyk is the second Brookfield resident running for the seat. Former Waukesha County Board supervisor Rob Hutton also has announced for the office.

Adamczyk's campaign website says he is a "proud member of the NRA and is 100 percent pro-life" who strongly backs Gov. Scott Walker's fiscal and collective bargaining reforms.

"I fully support everything Gov. Walker has been able to accomplish," Adamczyk said in a news release. "I look forward to offering more common-sense solutions to balance our budget, cut spending, and give businesses the tools they need to grow and expand."
