Brookfield Residents Show Support for Eble Park Barn

Officials say it will be too expensive to save the Eble Park barn, but residents voiced opinions otherwise during a Monday night public meeting.

Brookfield residents are hopeful that officials will save the Eble Park barn, rather than razing the building because of findings that its upkeep is too expensive.

Many homeowners expressed their desire to see the barn saved during an open house meeting at Eble Park Ice Arena on Monday, according to an article on TodaysTMJ4.com.

"I think it’s important to hold on to our past, and to remember where we came from as a county, as a state, remember our farming history,” C.J. Jacobs, who lives nearby, told WTMJ4.

Officials were also taking suggestions for development ideas on the land, and some suggested a farmer's market or beer garden, according to the article.
