Campaign Disclosure Complaint Filed
Ald. Dan Sutton apologizes for "oversight" and promises to stamp "paid for by" disclosure on literature after election challenger Dick Steinberg files complaint.
Aldermanic candidate Dick Steinberg has filed a complaint that Ald. Dan Sutton did not include a required campaign financial disclosure on his literature.
Sutton apologized Wednesday, telling Patch it was an "oversight" that he has already moved to correct. Sutton said he has purchased a "paid for by" stamp he will use on any future literature he distributes and is awaiting further direction from the Waukesha County District Attorney's office.
Steinberg, former city municipal judge, said he originally filed his complaint Sunday with the state Government Accountability Board, which told him to file it with the City Clerk.
