WHMS Parents Beware: Police Will Enforce Lot's Right Turn Only

Common Council moves forward with Trader Joe's hearing and firefighter contract without debate, but the right turn only sign brought up a slight discussion at last night's meeting.

Parents and guardians will see a change as they drop off and pick up at Wisconsin Hills Middle School, 18700 W. Wisconsin Ave., after the Common Council approved a right-turn-only sign installation at the outgoing west driveway.

The approved resolution will add the sign to the official control map for the city, meaning the sign will be legally enforced. But Ald. Christopher Blackburn said the sign would not be a solution for traffic problems and the time restrictions were too long.

He added the lettering detailing the restricted hours was small and hard to read.
