PHOTOS: Model Displayed for The Corners / Von Maur Project

Residents could view the project's 3D model at Tuesday's annual Town Hall meeting.

The open-air, retail-office complex was on display in miniature form at the Brookfield Town Hall meeting Tuesday, showing off its unique qualities such as a central courtyard and deck parking.

The main feature of the development is a Von Maur Department Store, which will be the first in Wisconsin. Von Maur signed a contract on the space April 10, the Journal Sentinel reported.

According to the Journal Sentinel, the store expects to employ about 200 people and carry brands like Eileen Fisher, Free People, Coach, Joe’s Jeans and Tommy Bahama.

The store will take up 150,000 square feet of the 19-acre redevelopment east of Barker Road between I-94 and Bluemound Road.

The Corners project is designed by Development Design Group Inc. of Baltimore, MD, which also designed Bayshore Town Center in Glendale.
