Residential Subdivision Planned for Former Heritage Christian School Site

The Brookfield Planning Commission approved 25-lot subdivision that would have 50-foot-wide homes.

The Brookfield Planning Commission approved a development that would construct a 25-lot single-family residential subdivision at the former Heritage Christian School-Linfield Elementary School site.

The 6.54-acre property sits north of Greenfield Avenue between Elm Grove Road and Chester Street.

The developer, Neumann Company, plans to build 50-foot-wide homes on lots that are 75 to 100 feet wide, reported Brookfield Now.

The city considers the former school building as abandoned and a nuisance.

Each home would cost $250,000 to $325,000. Neumann Company would also need to spend an estimated cost of $250,000 for tearing down the building and conducting an asbestos abatement.
