Housing Could Be Part of The Corners / Von Maur Project

The project likely would open before a holiday season, whether it be 2013 or 2014, given Von Maur's preference to unveiling new stores in October and November, BizTimes.com reports.

Housing is a potential component of The Corners of Brookfield redevelopment project anchored by a Von Maur store, BizTimes.com is reporting.

The BizTimes report also notes that Von Maur only opens new stores in October and November, so if the massive project isn't ready to open in fall 2013, it likely won't open until another year later.

The Marcus Corp. is actively to the mixed-use redevelopment, rolling out a new marketing video to better give national chains a view of the site and the project's sweeping vision. In addition to the 140,000-square-foot Von Maur, the video projects nearly 230,700 square feet of retail and restaurants, 50,000 square feet of office and 150,000 square feet of residential, possibly 120 units. Final project plans, however, have not been sent to the town for approval.
