Andrew Farley Named New Principal of Brookfield East

The Elmbrook School Board named Andrew Farley as the new Principal of Brookfield East High School during its board meeting on Tuesday night. 

Mr. Farley currently serves as the Associate Principal of Menomonee Falls High School. Prior to that, he served as a Social Studies teacher at Brookfield East for eight years, as well as Head Boys Basketball Coach, and interim athletic director in January 2012. Andrew is also a Brookfield East graduate. 

"Through a variety of opportunities, Mr. Farley has demonstrated strong instructional leadership and a commitment to prepare all students for post-secondary success. I am excited to welcome Andrew back to his alma mater," said Mark Hansen, Superintendent of the School District of Elmbrook. "The enthusiasm expressed by staff, students, and parents surrounding Mr. Farley’s return is incredible, suggesting Brookfield East’s recent achievement results will continue to grow, if not accelerate, under Andrew’s guidance." 

The selection of Mr. Farley came after an extensive process that included the screening of 66 applications by a selection committee comprised of School District of Elmbrook staff.

Twelve candidates were subsequently screened with interviews, and three were sent forward for an interview at the school level. A 35-person committee including parents, students, staff, administrators, and a representative from the school board conducted interviews with these three candidates on May 9th. Based on the recommendation of the committee, the board unanimously confirmed Mr. Farley as Principal on Tuesday night. 

Dan Pavletich, who has served as Principal at Brookfield East High School since 2010, is transitioning to serve as the District’s Director of Human Resources. Mr, Farley will begin as Principal at Brookfield East on July 1.
