Brookfield Central Assistant Principal Not Heading to Shorewood

Natalie Collins was introduce to parents in Shorewood as the finalist for high school principal there, but she did not get a job offer.

Despite several rounds of interviews and meeting with parents in Shorewood this week, Brookfield Central High School Associate Principal Natalie Collins won't be heading to that district any time soon.

Collins, who has been at Central since 2005, was the lone finalist for the principal job at Shorewood High School and participated in a community meeting with parents there on Monday.

However, after two hours of debate, a committee that is vetting candidates for the Shorewood job decided Tuesday to continue the search instead of offering the job to Collins.

Collins is still a candidate, however, Shorewood school officials plan to hire an interim principal to start the school year. And there's a good chance the search may start all over again in the spring, the district said.
