UW-Milwaukee is in the market for a new men’s head coach after Chris Whalley was terminated earlier this spring. Assistant coach Ben Shepherd said in a release: "I really feel that he is a player, which for some reason, has gone under the radar. With his versatility of being able to play in both fullback positions as well as out wide, I think he could develop into and excellent collegiate player."

Heydt plays club soccer for the Elm Grove SC, which won the state club championship in 2011 at the U17 level.
