East Boys 2nd, Girls 4th at Alpine Valley
Erica Engstrand wins first individually for Spartans in the five-team meet.
The Brookfield East boys were second and the girls fourth in a five-team giant slalom skiing meet on Wednesday at Alpine Valley.
Michael Amato was second individually among the boys in 48.85 seconds. Other finishers were Brad Wolff in 10th (57.44), Michael Wolff 11th (58.75), Matt Filliatt 14th (60.98), Greg Spicer 15th (61.53) and Henry Termuehlen 17th (61.71).
For the girls, defending state champion Erica Engstrand was first in 52.29 seconds. Shelby Jacob was 10th (59.29), Hailey McKenna 14th (62.50), Andi Moyer 16th (63.42), Clare Procknow 17th (64.10) and Chloe Olson 21st (70.76).
