East 'Superfan' Santo Mirasola Memorialized at Soccer Stadium
The longtime supporter of Brookfield East athletics was honored Tuesday, and his family was on hand for the event.
Brookfield East “superfan” Santo Mirasola, who passed away on March 12 at age 77, was honored Tuesday night by the high school’s athletic department.
Mirasola had attended almost 400 events at the school over the last decade, and with his wife Pat was a supervisor for soccer, football, basketball, volleyball, track and field and wrestling, said athletic director Cale Vogel.
During halftime of the Brookfield Central-Brookfield East girls soccer game, Vogel presented a plaque to the family that will hang at the entrance to the soccer field.
