Elmbrook Fundraiser Saturday at Sharon Lynne

With Elmbrook facing budget deficits, a foundation that grants scholarships to students and schools is holding a key fundraiser Saturday night.

With Elmbrook School District administrators talking about potential budget deficits of $3.8 million, all sources of potential revenue become important.

That includes private donations by groups such as the Elmbrook Education Foundation, a non profit organization that has been raising funds annually for Elmbrook since 1958. 

The foundation is holding a major fundraising event Saturday night at the , 19805 W Capitol Dr. The theme for the event, to be held from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., is "Tropical Getaway." More details can be found .

While the registration deadline expired Monday, anyone still interested in attending can email elmbrookeducationfoundation@gmail.com for access. 

The Elmbrook Education Foundation in the past 50 years has awarded more than $960,000 in merit and need-based scholarships to more than 900 students planning to attend post-high school education. Since 2001, the EEF  has awarded more than $226,000 in grants to Elmbrook's six elementary schools, two middle schools and two high schools.
