Elmbrook Students Named National Merit Semifinalists

Fifteen seniors at Brookfield Central and East high schools can compete for National Merit Scholarships.

Fifteen Brookfield Central and East High School seniors have been named as National Merit Semifinalists as a result of the PSAT test scores.

Semifinalists represent less than one percent of all high school seniors in the country, or about 16,000 students. The 15 seniors in the Elmbrook School District will be able to continue to compete for about 8,300 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $34 million to be awarded next spring.

Nine additional Elmbrook seniors were selected as Commended Scholars. These students do not compete for National Merit Scholarships but may earn scholarships from businesses.
